The first novel SCREAMS UNDER WATER, won the prestigious Politiken's crime-novel competition 2010, was published in June 2010 and became an instant bestseller. With more than 70.000 copies sold it was one of the bestselling books of 2010 in Denmark. In SCREAMS UNDER WATER Katrine Wraa returns to Denmark – after having been educated and working in England – as the homicide division of the Copenhagen Police hires her. Her first case is the killing of a male obstetrician, who is found brutally stabbed in his own frontyard. The second book in the series, THE DEVILS FACE, was published in Denmark in 2011 and went directly to the bestseller lists. 

 

Publishing rights to SCREAMS UNDER WATER and THE DEVILS FACE have been sold to Germany, Holland, Norway, Poland and Iceland. The third book in the series with Katrine Wraa, EVAS LAST NIGHT was published in Denmark in September 2013. 

 

About the authors

Jeanette Øbro (born 1969), originally educated midwife, worked for many years as a communications consultant before her debut as author.

Ole Tornbjerg (born 1967) worked for many years as a journalist, director and producer of documentary films before entering into crime fiction.

Besides being bestselling authors Jeanette Øbro and Ole Tornbjerg are also a married couple.
